New Release / 新曲リリース: 「September Silvergrass / 秋分のススキ」

Autumn always brings about a nostalgic feeling in me, which I think is in part due to the fact that in Canada we start the school year in September, and there are so many memories associated with that. Also responsible I think is the slow death of summer and fade into cold; the diminishing reverberations of the recent warmer months into a stiller, quieter season. I channeled such autumnal feelings into this piano piece, which I hope you enjoy on this first day of fall. I wrote this in autumn of 2020, and am happy to release it now.

この秋分という日に、ソロピアノ曲をリリースした。秋になると、なんだか懐かしい気分になる。カナダでは学年が9月に始まるせいか…それだけじゃないと思うけど。暑くて忙しくて楽しく過ごしてた夏の思い出の反響が徐々に薄くなっていくし、空気もなんだか静かになって、内省ができる季節だ。そんな秋に対する想いをこの曲に編み込んでみた。ぜひ、聴いてみてください。
