「秋深し／Shades of Deep October」Composition + AMV

The other week, a melody came to me when I was imagining the feeling and scenery of sunset in the countryside. I kept the instrumentation minimal, and felt drawn to use alto flute for the main melody because of its thick but soft and mellow sound, and suddenly it started to sound like the fall, which changed the direction of what I wanted to express to something melancholy and autumnal. Though I was satisfied with the atmosphere the music created on its own, I thought it might be fun to try creating a visual “moodpiece” to go along with the music, and ended up created somewhat of an AMV (anime music video). I edited together clips from several anime shows and films that I listed in the info of the YouTube video!

２週間ほど前、「夕暮れ時」の小さな村や、田舎にある風景を想像しながらこのメロディーを作りました。オーケストレーションが進んだら、だんだん「秋」という雰囲気が吹き出して、秋だけに見える彩りや風景を表す曲を作りたいと、目標が少し変わりました。「秋深し」を聴いてくださると嬉しいです！
