SCORING: NATURE'S BIG YEAR DOCUMENTARY RELEASE

In the summer of 2021 I had the opportunity to contribute to the score for David Suzuki’s Nature of Things documentary “Nature’s Big Year” (CBC), which took a look at how ecosystems around the world have been impacted—positively and negatively—by the change in human activity due to the pandemic. Having always been a lover of animals, it was a really enjoyable project getting to create music to match a Great Grey Owl, Loggerhead Turtle, or Bald Eagle. It was also a fun challenge to try to differentiate each ecosystem by giving each segment its own instrumentation and mood.
